This week, David Cousens and I chatted with actor, journalist and technology expert David McClelland. David’s infectious enthusiasm for creativity, sharing, and tech was a joy to be swept along with!
Not a Skill I Thought He Had
During our chat, I recalled a time that David and I had met and how he had remembered my name. I have told SO many people about this skill he has and how I wish I could remember people’s names like he does, I couldn’t have been more wrong!
The Three Cs
David explains the three criteria that he pitches each offered job up against. If the job opportunity doesn’t meet two of the three he won’t do it. His explanation made a lot of sense to me as a freelancer and is something I’ll adopt when I can for sure.
2 Degrees of Separation
I couldn’t let an informal chat go by without addressing something very close to my heart. You see, the late Eric Morcombe is a hero of mine. Hang tight this will make sense. David works with Angela Rippon, who famously danced with Morcombe and Wise back in the 1970s, an iconic moment in TV. So, 2 degrees of separation!
Behind the Scenes: A Peek into David’s Home Studio
In a lighter moment, David graciously provides a sneak peek into his home studio, where he conducts various professional activities, including shooting and online work. Amidst the challenges brought on by the pandemic, his dedicated space has allowed him to maintain productivity and creativity. This showcases the significance of technology in enabling remote work and facilitating innovative endeavours.
